Tidbits About Me
I've always been a shy person and pretty opinionated. Many people believe that opinionated people are loud, obnoxious and annoying. I'm pretty typical. I'm shy when I don't know you, but once we become friends, I'm very, very loud. All around though, I try to be nice, but when something really gets to me, I'm not a happy sight. I am born Asian, raised Asian and live Asian, but like many others, was given birth to in America. Go California. Around third grade, I moved to Shanghai, China. People like to ask what China is like and I'm extremely dissapointed by their questions. The things I've heard such as, "Do you guys have a water system in China?" or "Do you live in a hut?" or "What kind of school do you go to?". Yes,extremely dissapointing. If any of you are reading these and scratching your head because you really have no idea what China is like, go read up some World History. China is one of the most economically improved countries in the world and from what I hear, the market shot up 7-10% last year. And yes, considering the disastrous economy in the States right now, that's pretty good. I attend an international school in Shanghai, thus, I speak English every day since if you put me in a room of Chinese students, I would wither away in failure.
Unlike many others, I do not indulge every living moment in music and sometimes find it annoying when someone has their earphones plugged in every single second. You'll only go deaf. Bath and Body Works, The Body Shop and Papyrus are my favorite stores. Yes, not some clothing shop because, srsly, I do not care what brand I wear. If it fits me, looks nice and doesn't offend anyone, I'll wear it.
I may or may not sound laid-back, but really, I'm uptight. I stress out all the time and it's really not a great thing. People constantly tell me to loosen up but that's just never going to happen. xD Aside from being a constant stress-bot, I'm pretty aggressive. I'm pretty sure I spelt that wrong, anyhew, I could have been born or raised that way, but I stand up for everything I believe in. In an aggressive manner. I'm a lover of volleyball and basketball, and since we're on the topic of aggressiveness, please do not try to scratch me or steal the ball from me on court. I lose all human thoughts and will practically attack you, as I have been told I do.
Sitewise, I've been web-designing since middle school, not sure which grade. Yes, like many others, I started out with Neopets. I hadn't heard of Adobe Photoshop and thought layouts made on MS Paint were the greatest accomplishments ever. Obviously, and hopefully, I've made great progress since then. I actually started out with Matmice, moved on to freewebs, worked at delinquente.org for a while and now have my own sub-domain. Yes, what an exciting and amazing trip down web-design lane. No, it's not the greatest trip in the world and definitely not the most interesting. But I'm here to stay and hope to get better. Hip, hip, hooray. x]
